We are an innovative startup addressing one of the most significant unmet needs in medicine: precision treatment for chronic diseases. Our foundation is built on research from the Weizmann Institute, leading to the development of a cloud-based platform that performs unbiased, broad-range epiproteomic analyses on standard mass-spectrometry data. Our platform offers an unparalleled view into post-translational modifications (PTMs) across various tissue types and disease states, positioning us to lead in understanding and guiding the treatment of complex diseases. By leveraging existing datasets and collecting proprietary clinical cohort data, we tackle critical questions to improve patient care. We collaborate with leading pharmaceutical companies to influence their decision-making processes and continuously build our proprietary database of proteomics data and AI-driven PTM knowledge.

Who You Are:

We are seeking a data scientist to join our early-stage startup. You will be responsible for applying and enhancing machine learning algorithms to extract biological insights, to promote actionable treatment recommendations, and improve patient care. You have experience working with new types of biological data, understand the challenges of starting from scratch, and are excited to tackle them. You are looking for a role where you can make a significant impact and save lives, taking ownership and responsibility for your work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply and improve existing data science tools to derive insights from biological data.
• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to understand their needs, create computational workplans to address challenges, and present results internally and to external collaborators.
• Work with our development teams to design new algorithms to address the challenges of biological data, including sparse data, small sample sizes, explainable AI requirements, and functional interpretation.

Requirements:

• PhD. or MSc in in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of statistics.
• Experience in developing and implementation of analysis methodologies
• Proficiency in coding with R or Python.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with proteomics data.
• SW development methodologies (GitHub, SQL)
